The institutional review and approval procedures for the program begin with approval from the College of Education's graduate curriculum committee. The initial approval then moves to approval by the university's faculty senate graduate curriculum committee. If approved by the university's faculty senate graduate curriculum committee, the program is then reviewed and approved by the university's Office of Academic and Curriculum Support and then the university's Office of the Provost. There are no state required approvals needed for the Instructional Technology certificate. The Instructional Technology certificate has been offered for two years and is fully approved.
